Avoid These Outfits When Flying From El Paso

Experts have a few warnings for those traveling by air this summer. If you're flying our of El Paso, I have some advice of my own for for you too.

Men's Journal just published an article warning air travelers to watch what they wear. That's not the only thing you should consider when flying from El Paso. I have a few warnings for you too ...

The Men's Journal article mentioned a few specific clothing items to avoid when flying. Sure, you want to be comfortable but comfy can become dangerous.

What The Expert Says

No shorts. If you should, (God forbid), have to use the emergency slide, know that you will be moving pretty fast and the material is pretty rough. It can actually rip your skin off so shorts, dresses, skirts, etc, are not advised.

No synthetic clothing. The Men's Journal guy says they're petroleum based, fit real tight, burn real fast and real hot. On top of possibly deadly burns, melted clothing can leave you unable to escape the cabin.

On a lighter note, there are a few other things to keep in mind when traveling by air.

Watch Out For Balloons. If you're flying out of El Paso, make sure nobody is releasing any balloons, you could be stuck here for days. Ditto if the cartel is flying any drones around.

Over Zealous Pilots. After sitting on the plane for about an hour, we had to get our stuff, exit the airplane, (on the runway) and walk back to the terminal because the pilot apparently had superhuman steering wheel turning power. Sticker Shock. The prices at the airport are HUGE. It should be illegal ... and, technically, I think it is ... to gouge peeps that can't go anywhere else like airports do

Final Tip

Hitt The Bathroom Before Security. The worse you have to go, the better the odds the guy in front of you is going to have some kind of issue that holds up the line. I have no scientific evidence t support this but, the fuller your bladder is, the longer the delay will be.
