Texas has miles of beaches and, thanks to the beautiful climate, you can visit them pretty much year round. Which keeps them pretty crowded but not this particular spot.

Texas has miles of beautiful coastline that includes one of the longest beaches in the world which have a number of popular Spring Break destinations and there are a lot of islands too.

Cool spots like that bring lots of visitors but you can easily find some peace and quiet at this particular beach ...

As you get closer to Mexico, the barrier islands off Texas' coast change in shape, stretching for miles. All that mileage is where you win ...

First and foremost, if you're looking for a quiet beach vacation, North Padre Island is about as quiet as it gets. Keep in mind, especially if you're in a more isolated area, rattlesnakes in Texas enjoy a day at the beach just like you do. It seems that dragons dig 'em too so, heads up. While you're enjoying your alone time, be sure you really are alone.

Be careful digging too ...
