Texas Sen. Ted Cruz's presidential campaign is pulling an ad after learning that one of the actresses featured in it previously had starred in soft-core porn.

The commercial was an attack ad on fellow presidential candidate Sen. Marco Rubio and showed a group of people at a group therapy session, talking about how they feel betrayed by Rubio, with actress Amy Lindsay telling the others "Maybe you should vote for more than just a pretty face next time."

It turns out that Lindsay's previous acting credits include movies like Erotic Confessions, Carnal Wishes and Insatiable Desires, according to BuzzFeed News.

After learning about Lindsay's film credits, the Cruz campaign said it planned on pulling the 30-second ad.

Catherine Frazier, a spokesperson for the Cruz campaign told Buzzzfeed that Lindsay responded to an open casting call.

"She passed her audition and got the job. Unfortunately, she was not vetted by the casting company," Frazier said.

Lindsay, who identifies as a Christian conservative and Republican, told Buzzfeed that she thought Cruz's campaign knew about her past.

Lindsay said she's disappointed the Cruz campaign is pulling the ad.
