Of All The El Paso Skyscrapers, Which One Of Them Is The Tallest?
El Paso's tallest buildings are all located Downtown They may not be as epic as the 'scrapers you'll find in New York or Chicago but they're still pretty big.
We don't have a ton of multi - story buildings around El Paso. At least, not many over 4 or 5 floors anyway. The ones that we do have are all located Downtown and make a pretty easy walking tour if you're into this kind of stuff.
If you're not a walker, you can always just watch the video.
Of El Paso's top 10, the smallest is one of our many courthouses.
The Albert Armendariz Sr, Federal Courthouse on Magoffin has a total of 9 stories.
It opened in 2010.
In the middle of the pack is the Stanton Tower, built in 1980.
At 18 stories, it's pretty tall but it's not the tallest.
We'll get to the tallest bad boys next.
As far as height goes, here are EP's big 3.
The number 3 spot goes to One San Jacinto Plaza.
Located at ... duh ... 1 San Jacinto Plaza, it's a 20 story building that rises 280 feet above downtown.
Number 2 is the Wells Fargo Building.
This one really stands out not only for its height ... it's a 302 foot, 22 story building .. but also its solid black exterior.
It was built in 1971.
Finally, numero uno - the WestStar Tower.
Located at 601 N. Mesa, it has dominated the El Paso skyline since 2021. It has 2 floors less than the Wells Fargo building but actually stands 12 feet taller. (314')
I haven't seen the inside yet but I'm looking forward to checking it out.
It also has two observation decks, one on each side, that I'm sure offer stunning views.
