Happy May the fourth! Fans across the galaxy are gearing up for lightsaber duels, movie marathons, and fully embracing their inner Jedi (or Sith, no judgment).

And if you needed proof that Texas goes hard for Star Wars, we’ve got it.

Texas Ranks #2 for Star Wars Obsession

According to a new study from Hard Rock Bet, Texas officially ranks as the second most Star Wars-obsessed state in the country, racking up more than 154,000 Star Wars-related searches in just 24 hours.

Only California beat us out, pulling in over 255,000 searches. I think it’s kind of cheating because they’ve got Disneyland hosting Star Wars Nite. Still, Texas isn’t just keeping up, it’s helping drive the nationwide surge.

Right behind Texas? Florida, with over 106,000 searches, thanks in part to the massive Star Wars presence at Walt Disney World.

And when it comes to favorite Star Wars eras, Texas is making its stance clear.

The prequel trilogy leads the way, with a big chunk of fans leaning into that era over the originals, spin-offs, and especially the sequels.
