Have you ever been to the beach at nighttime? Okay, in some places it looks super scary- it's real dark out there in the ocean. But in the perfect setting, the beach at night can be almost ethereal.

That's what this photographer captured when they ventured out into the night while visiting South Padre Island. The results? Super cool, and super spooky vibes!

It looks as though it just finished raining, which would explain the rolling clouds and the hint of fog as the camera aims beyond the shoreline into the busy city. It looks scary, almost menacing, but at the same time, it looks inviting. All the photos easily look like they could be the setting of a horror movie.

Now, I've never been to South Padre Island, I know, shocking since I've lived in Texas my entire life! I hear great things, and seeing pictures like this make me feel like I also need to plan a trip to South Padre Island.
