"Night Stalker: The Hunt for a Serial Killer" is dominating a ton of people's lives right now! Here in the Borderland, we know plenty about Richard Ramirez- or the "Night Stalker" as he would become to be known as. If you ask around to your family or friends, I'm sure someone has a story about Richard Ramirez; I won't tell you mine because I'm sure you already know my story.

For those of us who grew up here, we often forget that there's a slew of people who have never heard of Ramirez, despite his rise to infamy as the Night Stalker. There's also a whole generation that probably has never heard of him; which is why it should come as no surprise that, thanks to the Netflix docu-series "Night Stalker: The Hunt for a Serial Killer", a whole new generation of people are just finding out Richard Ramirez was an ACTUAL person and not just a character created by Ryan Murphy for his anthology series "American Horror Story".

To recap, Richard Ramirez makes appearances in two seasons of the anthology series. We first see Ramirez in season five of "AHS: Hotel" and again in "AHS: 1984". The "1984" season features him more, and you even get his background story- which is pretty much real.

Many took to Twitter to express their disbelief at the fact that this character was a real person- who was much more sinister than how the show portrayed him.

For those of us who knew who he was, I'm sure this Tweet sums it up:

Also, stop romanticizing him.
