This past week, police in New Mexico arrested a crazed gunman in Albuquerque on Tuesday, December 17th. A native of Rio Rancho, Eric Brusstar, was firing several rounds of ammo along New Mexico State Road 528. But what made this particular event even more insane was what he did when he looked up...

This New Mexico shooter pulled a real life GTA moment on a police chopper during the standoff

Yup...one of the craziest things he did was actually shoot AT a police helicopter that was reporting on the situation hovering overhead.

The audio between Air Traffic Control (ATC) & PD2 (the police chopper that was in the area) was actually released to the public that showed just how crazy the situation was but how calm the pilots & the ATC personal were during the shootout.

The amazing part was that no one in the PD2 helicopter was hit; the pilots were certainly a lot calmer than how I would've reacted if that was me (you would've heard WAY more screaming & cursing).

Thankfully no one was hurt on the ground either when Eric Brusstar was arrested by the ABQ Police Department after a very lengthy standoff with police & SWAT officers. Eric was arrested around 5am & he is currently facing MANY charges from his actions on Tuesday/Wednesday night.

This wasn't the only time an aircraft was shot at in 2024 either; one plane in Texas was shot at while attempting to take off at an airport; you can read that story here.
