On Aug. 26, La Tomatina the legendary tomato fight, had an amazing celebration that marked seven decades of a fun and messy war. Probably one of the easiest ways to make ketchup and also the dirtiest.

Starting back in 1945 between two young boys in the streets of the Spanish City of Bunol, La Tomatina brings together tons of people who have been so willing to continue this food fight for 70 years. Thousands of people participated in this year's celebration and it is estimated by DailyWhat that 170 tons of tomatoes were hurled between friends, family and random people.

Over 20,000 people gathered in the Bunol streets and tossed fruit at each other's faces. It's like a gigantic water balloon fight but with more fruit chunks instead of water and latex. This just seems like the type of event everyone should take part in at least once in their lives. If this isn't on your bucket list, it really should be! Maybe we can add a rock band to it and make it into a giant mosh pit! Not that's a million dollar idea.
