Fishing Booker, a popular online platform for booking fishing charters, recently released its list of the top fishing spots by state across the nation. The rankings were determined by analyzing over 100,000 fishing trips, reviews, and reports from the past year. Each location was scored based on six factors: the number of available fishing charters, average review score, average recommended score, number of guides with the Angler’s Choice award, number of bookings, and the minimum price of a fishing trip. The maximum score for any location was 60 points.

South Texas Takes Over the Rankings

Although Galveston secured the top spot in Texas, the South Texas region dominated the list, claiming four of the top five spots. Port Aransas and Corpus Christi ranked 2nd and 3rd, with scores of 46 and 45, respectively. South Padre Island took 4th place with a score of 42, while Rockport rounded out the top five with a score of 39.
