The state of Texas and Yellowstone don't usually go together, but trust me when I say they have a connection- quite a few connections, actually.

The hit western-drama "Yellowstone" just started its fifth season and I have to be completely honest, I have never seen the show! I have heard so much about this show, but I never even knew it existed until recently. I know it stars Kevin Costner and, judging by this trailer for the fifth season (and from all the TikToks I've seen), it actually looks like a good show.

The show is such a success that it has spawned some spin-offs- one of which stars Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren.

Now, the show is filmed in separate places like in Utah and, Montana- which seems like the obvious place IS called "Yellowstone", but the show has some strong Texas roots! Most recently, it was reported that the show was filming in north Texas; it was unclear if this was for the season that just premiered or for future episodes.

According to this article, the creator of the show, Taylor Sheridan, is actually from Texas and graduated from high school in Fort Worth.

"Yellowstone" apparently had a very prominent storyline in season four that involved the iconic, and very real, Texas "Four Sixes Ranch" based in Guthrie, about four hours west of Dallas-Fort Worth. In the show, even the horses have Texas roots!

While I've never seen the show, it definitely sounds like it's up my alley- especially after finding out all these Texas connections!
