As 2023 is getting ready to wrap up, El Paso is getting ready for huge parties & events. One event happening this weekend is being held by A Taller Earth Production in hopes to benefit the Elks charity foundation in hopes to raise money for strengthening the El Paso community.

What is the Elks Foundation?

According to the Elks National Foundation website, they are a nonprofit organization that specifically helps send children go to college as well as giving additional assistance to veterans in the country.

In the state of Texas, they have the "Hoop Shoot" program & the Elks National Drug Awareness program among many others to help those in need. From 2022-2023, the Elks of Texas donated over $300,000 to the Elks National Foundation, which went to help benefit those programs.

There are also what are called Elks lodges, which El Paso does have at 2278 Trawood Dr. Their charitable efforts were covered on KTSM 9 back in 2021.

On Sunday there will be an event to help raise money for the Elks Foundation in El Paso

October 15th is the date of the Happy Unbirthday Block Party Volume 2, which will be held at the Elks lodge in El Paso at 2278 Trawood.
