6 Free Holiday Events to Hit Up In El Paso this Weekend

Tis the season! It's finally December in the Borderland and that means it's time for some festive events to get that perfect selfie and to get you into the holiday spirit! Personally, I love this time of year; all the lights, the decorations, it really warms my cold little heart.

This holiday season, unlike last year, the Sun City is offering tons of events across the city for you to be merry and joyous. If you're on a budget but still want to join in on the festivities, well don't worry because I got you! Here are six fun, family friendly, and most importantly- FREE events! Most of them are markets, but they are holiday markets and it's perfect for your Christmas shopping especially if you want to support local!

Free Movies at Sunland Park Mall

At Sunland Park Mall, you can join them every Friday for "Very Merry Movies, at the Backyard Cinema" and you're allowed to bring your blanket, chair and even your stuffed animal! This weekend's showing is "Elf"

The Plaza Theater will not be showing free movies this weekend.

5th Annual Krampus Fest Art Show & Market 

Kaleidoscope Art Market will be hosting their fifth annual Krampus Fest, this year it will be held at Alamo Drafthouse East. They have live music, vendors and a Krampus Walk and contest- side note: I will be judging the Krampus contest so if you're in it, you better bring your A game! More info here.

4th Annual Fabens Christmas Parade & Festival

The city of Fabens will be having their Christmas Parade and Festival at Veterans Park, with live music, vendors and food!

Idea Public Schools Winter Posada Party

Idea Public School's Winter Posada Party will include game, arts and crafts and food. You can get info to RSVP here.

1st Ave Artisan Market's Christmas Fair Market

The Christmas Fair Winter Wonderland edition Market will be on Sunday December 12th from 10am-3pm at 798 E. First Ave. at the Main Room Event Center.

Retros Market 

Hosted by Retros Premium Sneaker care, this market will be held at the Pink Elephant (915 Vibes) on Saturday December 11th.
