The 5 Exercises You Should Definitely Be Doing If You’re Hispanic
Exercising is hard- especially as you get older. It becomes harder and harder to find the time and the motivation to do any sort of physical activity.
However, if you're Hispanic, we need to adapt healthier lifestyles, mi gente! Several health issues are more prevalent in Hispanic people than the general population like:
- Chronic Kidney Disease
- Chronic Liver Disease
We need to take care of ourselves and take that first step to get some exercise in. Trust me, I do know how hard it can be to even get started! However, I think that we all just need to find the proper motivation to get started!
So when I stumbled across this TikTok, I knew it was perfect to motivate me to get started!
TikTok user Sabine (@sabineee.h) posted a workout routine that is very important for Hispanics specifically.
As you can see, she demonstrated five workouts to do that are very beneficial to Hispanics like:
Running from la suegra (running from your mother in law)
I'm sure many had wished they started training for this one earlier!
Then there's abuela climbing la escalera (grandma climbing the stairs)
As I get older, I better start getting on the Stairmaster!
Trying to see the chisme (trying to see the gossip)
As someone who considers herself a chismosa, I better add those pullups to my workout routine!
Sneaking into la casa at 12 A.M.
We've all been there, right? I wish I had trained for that when I was younger!
Starting la maquina for the grass (starting the lawn mower)
We've all had to help out with the yard at one point or another, this exercise will help you get better at turning on that darned mower!
