El Paso’s Sun City Stealth Invites Community To Donate Stuffed Animals During First Game Of The Season
It’s game time El Paso!
El Paso’s only all-women tackle football team, The Sun City Stealth, will be having their first game of the season this Saturday, April 9th and they are inviting the community to come out and show their support!
The team's season opening game will be held at Jefferson High School with gates opening at 5:30 pm and the game kicking off at 6:30 p.m.
The ladies of Sun City Stealth will be taking on WFA Division III rival Rocky Mountain ThunderKatz from Colorado Springs Colorado.
This game will also be an opportunity for the team to give back to a local non-profit organization.
“We are honored to host Reach For A Star of El Paso! They will be accepting stuffed animals and Easter-themed donations for their Easter Extravaganza benefitting terminally ill children and child victims of abuse,” said team officials.
People who head out to the game are encouraged to bring a new stuffed animal or any Easter-themed items that can be used for the organization's Easter Extravaganza.
What’s The Forecast Looking Like?
Warm weather is expected this weekend! Saturday’s high is expected to reach 88 degrees which means it’s PERFECT football weather once the sun starts setting and the game gets going!
We are expecting winds that day but gusts will reach 25 mph which puts us in the breezy category, but a nice little wind gust will help cool you off with those warm afternoon temperatures!
The Sun City Stealth’s season will continue through May 21st so if you’re not able to join this weekend’s game then check out their website or social media pages for details on future games!
