6 Things to Make Sure Are Tied Down When the Winds Hit El Paso

Well, it's officially March- approaching April- which can only mean one thing: high winds have officially hit the Sun City. Emphasis on the "hit".

Every year, Spring in the Borderland means winds and dust, and every year we see things flying in the sky that we wouldn't normally see.

Unfortunately, we also see some sort of horrible damage done, like this roof that flew off of a house and caused a small, but alarming, fire.

So, with the winds in the city, it's best to always have things around your house that could easily fly away tied down, or at least secured! I think FitFam perfectly sums up all the things that we could see fly away in the winds:

Trampolines

It may sound a little absurd, but there have been many instances of trampolines, and even jumping balloons, flying away when the wind speeds get super high! Watch out!

Tool Sheds

Those tool sheds may look mighty sturdy, but the winds in El Paso have been known to tear them apart! I don't know what would make them sturdier or secured, but be on the lookout if you have one and it's a windy day!

Garbage Bins

Garbage cans have wheels, and if they're empty, they're sure to be rolling down your street! Secure these suckers down, especially if you know it's trash day!

Shopping Carts 

Another menace on wheels! There has got to be a better system at getting these secured on windy days!

Power Lines 

El Paso winds are so strong that seeing these power lines down isn't all that surprising!

Eyelashes

Ladies, if the eyelashes currently on your eyes aren't real- make sure you have some real good lash glue, if not, maybe it's best to go without the falsies on windy days!
