El Paso Weekend Road Closures

While you are out running around this weekend, there are a few areas you may want to avoid

If you can't avoid these areas, at least now you will know to bring a magazine or something else to do while you wait!

Work on the SPUR 1966 project will cause Paisano to be closed between Ruhlen Court and West San Antonio Saturday (11/2/13) from 5:00am - 9:00pm.

On Sunday, (11/3/13) the main lanes of I-10 east will be closed from the Talbot exit to the Artcraft overpass.  Same for I-10 west between the Artcraft overpass and Trans Mountain.

The westbound exit ramp for Tranny will be closed as well!

Also, Sunday morning (11/3/13) , The El Paso Motorcycle Coalition are also holding their 31st annual Toy Run and Parade in this same area.  From approximately 11:00am - 12:00 or 12:30pm, expect EPPD to hold traffic at a few intersections as the parade passes. 

(The parade ends at Cohen stadium, so both the Trans Mountain @ Gateway South and the Diana @ Gateway North intersections in the northeast will be briefly affected as well between ... approximately! ... 11:30am - 12:30pm!)

If you want to watch the parade, you'll find some great observation areas along Trans Mountain as well as near the Diana/Gateway North intersection!

Just be sure you're set up at one before 11:00 am and ... by the way ... don't forget to set your clocks BACK tonight!!
