Walmart Shutting Down In El Paso – Sam’s And Target Too

Several El Paso retailers are adjusting their hours of operation and shutting down completely for one day .. better get your Christmas shopping done quick.

If you are planning to do any super last minute Christmas shopping this year, don't count on being able to shop these retail giants on the big day.

You should stock up on booze before Christmas too.

Walmart has announced that they will close all their stores ... not just El Paso, all 4,606 of 'em ... on Christmas day this year. They will also close up early on Christmas Eve but they extended delivery hours on Christmas Eve to 5pm.

If you think you can grab a quick or forgotten gift on your way to the party, think again.  PS: Walmart isn't the only one doing this.

Who Else Is Closing Christmas Day?

Along with Walmart, Target, Marshal's, Home Depot, Dollar General and many, many more will close on Christmas Day. Members only outlets Sam's Club and Costco are also closing on Christmas.  Many of these are also adjusting their hours on Christmas Eve.

Who's Open On Christmas Day?

If a Slurpee or a 6 pack will cover that forgotten gift, convenience stores like 7-11 and Speedway will be open. You could also surprise someone with milk or eggs from Albertsons. Walgreens can hook you up with some aspirin or maybe a little something for that December 26th hangover,  See more here.

Finally ... pay attention, this is a biggie ... there's no booze sales on Christmas Day. Fortunately, (for some), New Mexico allows Christmas Day liquor sales, although independently owned stores may still close for the holiday.

For west siders, Sunland Park, Canutillo and even Las Cruces, New Mexico are easy hops. Northeast drinkers can try their luck in Chaparral. East siders will have to drive a little.
