The COVID 19 vaccine will soon be available to all El Pasoans and a virtual town hall meeting has been arranged to explain how it will be distributed in El Paso.

The El Paso Department of Health and other medical personnel from throughout the city are holding a virtual town hall meeting tomorrow to lay out the distribution plans for the new COVID 19 vaccine and:

The panelist will share the latest information on the distribution plan, local COVID-19 dispensing plan efforts, the vaccine’s side effects and safety for those who take it, including those with underlying medical conditions. - EPHP

One thing that is known according to the El Paso Herald - Post is that the vaccine will be released in three phases. Phase 1 will be for critical health care staff, nursing homes, assisted living patients and personnel of those facilities, as well as other essential workers. Phase 2 will include essential citizens not covered in phase 1 along with "high risk" groups and critical infrastructure workers. Phase 3 will cover everybody else with the exception of children as the vaccine has not yet been approved for pediatric use.
