Chris Fehn: Slipknot Lawsuit Details Revealed
In Slipknot's statement regarding their split with percussionist Chris Fehn, they made no admission about the reported lawsuit he filed against the band. Fehn alleged that different Slipknot companies diverted part of the band's revenue streams, the collective of which were said to be shared between members. Now, the documents of this lawsuit have been made public as Fehn alleges money was hidden from him, thus him not being paid his proper due.
The documents name the following as defendants: Slipknot, Incorporated (a New York corporation; Slipknot, Incorporated (a California corporation); Knot Merch LLC (a Delaware corporation); SK Productions, LLC (a New York limited liability company); SK Touring, Inc. (a Delaware corporation); Knot Touring LLC (A Delaware limited liability company); Rob Shore & Associates, Inc. (a New York corporation); Michael Shawn Crahan p/k/a "Clown"; Corey Taylor; and Robert Shore.
The suit is for damages and equitable relief.
The documents reveal that Fehn was asked to be a member of Slipknot in 1998, three years after the band's formation, though all Slipknot trademarks were registered in 1999. He entered a general partnership at will and that he "reposed trust and confidence in the fidelity and integrity of Crahan and Taylor to operate the Slipknot general partnership for the mutual benefit of the partners," which included himself.
Fehn is claiming he was unaware of several of the additional Slipknot companies that were created, all of which collected revenue. It is also stated that Taylor and Crahan "breached their fiduciary duties" to Fehn in a multitude of ways, including "enriching themselves out of proportion to the efforts and undivided interests of the other general partners, including those of Fehn" and "failing to provide information on the operation of the partnership consistent with the duties owed between partners."

All defendants are innocent until proven guilty and, in a tweet, Taylor claimed he was "wrongfully accused of stealing money."
Slipknot's sixth album will be out on Aug. 9. So far, the band has only released one song, "All Out Life." Catch the band on the road with Volbeat, Gojira and Behemoth at the stops listed below.
