AppleTV+ has allowed the Charlie Brown specials to be shown on TV this year. Gee, thanks AppleTV+!  The streamer is allowing "A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving" and "A Charlie Brown Christmas" will be shown on PBS just in time for both holidays. AppleTV+ had previously snatched up the rights to the Charlie Brown specials, and actually didn't show "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" on any TV network. As you can imagine, there was quite a bit of backlash. Buzz had asked if there really was any backlash, but judging by the mommy blogs I read, yeah, there was totally backlash.

Because of the backlash, AppleTV+ has decided maybe they made a mistake and are allowing both holiday specials to be shown on PBS- “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving”  special will air on Sunday, November 22 at 7:30pm ET, while the Christmas one will air on December 13th. As an added bonus, AppleTV+ will make both specials avialble to watch for free during limited windows on Apple TV+. The Thanksgiving special started streaming today for Apple TV+ subscribers but it will be available for free from November 25th to 27th. The Christmas special, which begins streaming December 4th, can be watched for free from December 11th to 13th.

Apple TV+ has snagged deals for all things "Peanuts". This includes new original series and specials: a second season of "Snoopy in Space" and the Peanuts gang celebrating Mother's Day, Earth Day, New Year's Eve and going back to school, according to CNN.
