Last weekend, I received some killer boots from 1836 Boot Company that were custom-made with a UTEP pick axe on them. It made me think about all the great custom made Miner merchandise out there.

Earlier this week, I asked fans to send over their custom UTEP gear that they are most proud of. The responses were great, featuring everything from a barbecue smoker to a custom made banner to a sweet truck decal.

If you're a Miner fan, you might have seen Pinky walking around the stadium/arena decked out in his UTEP gear and sporting his infamous Miner license plates around his neck. I had to go to this UTEP diehard and ask him about some of the custom gear that he's accumulated over the years. He showed off this retro Miner banner that he had made for him. This seems like it could even work as a decorative rug. This piece of memorabilia did a great job with its color combination too.

Custom Smoker & Miner Mafia Jerseys - Anthony Tuialuuluu

Now this is a fun custom-built item for all the Miner tailgaters out there. Anthony Tuialuuluu, the father of UTEP offensive lineman Tristin Tuialuuluu, received this smoker for tailgates. He and over 100 other supporters consistently host a tailgate ahead of football games and the fan group even has a name: Miner Mafia.

The Miner Mafia tailgates behind Kidd Field every home game. They travel to as many road games as they can and they even have custom jerseys that each member wears.

Paydirt Pete Custom Decal - @Dacor72dvc

I was sent this custom-made truck decal by a Twitter follower this week. If you zoom in on the right of the photo, you can see the "Paydirt Pete Edition" slapped in a grey color with a fierce font. Then, the Paydirt Pete logo hugs the back of the truck to make for a clean look. The only thing that could make this better is if the truck was Miner orange. Other than that, it's a sweet ride and a great look.

Honorable Mention: Thrifted UTEP Windbreaker - @PaydirtSteve

As Caesar Cubillos pointed out with a throwback photo, this piece isn't a custom made windbreaker. Still, it doesn't take away from how fly this throwback bomber jacket looks. The fact that Steve got this thrifted is even better. I'm always a firm believer that the royal blue as the dominant color looks great on throwback Miner gear. The 80s logo at the heart is the icing on the cake, of course.

There's still a lot to add to this list of the best custom UTEP merchandise. If you have custom UTEP merchandise or memorabilia that you would like to showcase, feel free to send me an email with a photo at adrian.broaddus@townsquaremedia.com.
