Arizona has a rich musical history; many artists have come out of the state and in this case, some have forever immortalized the state in their music videos. Some might come from artists you didn't expect to see.
Morrissey "My Love Life"
Those who live (or have been) in Phoenix, Arizona, might recognize the fact that most of the 1991 music video for Morrissey's "My Love Life" was shot on Van Buren Street. Even though most of the video shows Morrissey driving in his Rolls-Royce, people will definitely know that's Van Buren St.
The Tragically Hip "Gift Shop"
The Canadian rock group, The Tragically Hip, filmed the 1996 video for "Gift Shop" in Sedona, Arizona. Of course you have scenes of Niagara Falls & the Statue of Liberty but the band was performing in the Arizona desert.
Imagine Dragons "I Bet My Life"
Those who watched the 2014 video for Imagine Dragons' "I Bet My Life" will note that the Arizona's Salt River serves as the beginning and ending for the music video.
Brittney Spears "I'm Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman"
No that's not green scene, Brittney really DID go to Lake Powell, Arizona & Alstrom Point, Utah to film those shots of her on the mountains in her 2001 video for "I'm Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman". Of course she was REALLY scared, having to take a helicopter for some of those scenes, but she conquered her fear and gave us this iconic 2000s video.
Petra "Beyond Belief"
The Christian metal group, Petra, filmed parts of the music video for 1990's Beyond Belief in Phoenix & Sedona, Arizona.
Dirty Honey "Coming Home (Ballad of the Shire)"
The rock band from Los Angeles, Dirty Honey recorded themselves performing in various locations Flagstaff, Arizona in the music video for "Coming Home (Ballad of the Shire)" . This was confirmed in the video's description; the band also filmed in Snoquamish, Washington, Utah's Monument Valley & Durango, Colorado.
Paul McCartney "Stranglehold"
Last but not least we have the one & only Paul McCartney. Originally appearing on Paul's 1986 album, Press to Play, the music video for "Stranglehold" shows Paul & his band playing at the Cactus Club. The real life location is the Half Way Station in Amado, Arizona; you can even see a photo of the signed script of the video here.
