2020 Democratic Primary Numbers in Texas Are Way Up

A whole lot of people voted in the Democratic primary in the state of Texas. Just take a look at the numbers. Here are the total amount of votes cast in the Texas primary from this year and in 2016.

• 2016 - 1,435,895 total votes cast
• 2020 - 2,075,862 total votes cast

That's 639,967 more votes cast this time around. Now, I know that this isn't exactly how it works, but the numbers are fun to look at.

Here is the breakdown of votes in the 2016 Presidential election:

• Trump - 4,685,047 votes
• Clinton - 3,877,868 votes

Trump beat Clinton by 807,179 votes.

What do all these numbers mean? I don't know. I'm not that smart, I just think the numbers are interesting. There's a lot more that goes into what all this means than just looking at the numbers. Which is why it's so easy for CNN, or Fox News, or MSNBC to take numbers and make them say whatever they want. The numbers don't change, but the interpretation of those numbers is fluid. It never means just one thing.

You can also look at these numbers. There was a total of 8,969,226 total votes cast for President in 2016. The population of the state of Texas that is of voting age is 14,965,061.That means almost 6 million people DIDN'T vote in the 2016 election. But again, just numbers. And numbers that aren't even exact.

But a lot more people did go vote in the Democratic Primary in Texas this year. That is a fact.
