A recent Bloomberg study shows El Paso leading the country in losing more residents than we gain. More people have left El Paso to live in other cities than even New Jersey. And New Jersey sucks, WTF?

The study says El Chuco lost 8,490 residents to other cities or, about 1%. This, according to them, is due mostly to the local job market. Michael Stoll, professor of public policy and urban planning at the University of California, said:

"A lot of young, reasonably educated people are having a hard time finding work there." "They're not staying in town after they graduate," leaving for the faster-growing economies of neighboring metro areas like Dallas and Austin.

The study also showed that, despite our proximity to Mexico, El Paso also isn't attracting very many new, foreign folks either. I'm not sure I'm buying that one though!
