January 17, 2012 El Paso is very lucky to have the goofiest weatherman on TV giving us our weather. Mark Mathis is fairly new to town, so give him some time to get goofy. This video gives you a look at how much fun he makes the weather, but seeing as El Paso basically has two types of weather, hot or windy, or hot and windy, we'll see how excited he can get! We have an absolute blast whenever he comes into the studio, he is high energy! Love him!

December 9, 2011 This morning our friend Noreen Jaramillo came in to tell us about her new gig on News Channel 9 doing the morning show. She also brought in her co-host Meteorologist Mark Mathis.
It wasn't until JUST NOW (12:50 p.m. Friday afternoon) that I realized who he is! He's the guy who got a lot of attention over the past few years as an internet sensation.

KTSM-TV/NewsChannel 9 weatherman Chuck DeBroder is a really cool dude, nice guy, HETEROsexual (not that there's anything wrong with that!) and GREAT meteorologist (yes, he's fully-certified); but sometimes...well...we know it's necessary to have the make-up when you're on TV, but maybe Chuck can find a bathroom to apply it next time?
