Yesterday, I introduced you to Sarah Longfield, a guitar shredder who loves her some extra stringiness in her guitars. She likes eight of them. If you only have six, she's not very interested. Don't take this a penis thing. Seriously. She's got some pretty sweet guitars she plays in her videos, and this one is a really cool custom shop guitar made by Etherial Guitars. A few months back, I entered a guitar solo contest to win an awesome Mayones guitar. I didn't win, I'm not really a solo player, but I got to see a lot of amazing people playing insane shred solos over this short piece. I found a few new players to follow, and a few that I've already been following did some cool solos! I found this girl a while back, her name is Sarah Longfield.

All this week Nili Brosh is my Shredder of the week. While you might think the only reason for her being here is because I think she's attractive, and you'd be totally wrong. While I do find her attractive (hear that, Nili?), it's really about the playing. No, really.

Nili Brosh is being celebrated all this week as KLAQ's Guitar Shredder of the Week, because she's an insanely talented guitar player! It doesn't hurt that she's easy on the eyes, too. Nili is recording her new solo album, and I'm looking forward to hearing it. It will also feature some amazing musicians on it, like Bryan Beller, who's the bass meister for The Aristocrats and Dethklok! He can play

This week's guitar shredder here at KLAQ is Nili Brosh. We saw a little of her performing with Tony MacAlpine yesterday, and here's something from her solo album. It's the title track "Through the Looking Glass", and it's a pretty awesome song!

Tony MacAlpine is our guitar shredder for the week, and we've seen some old songs, new songs, collaborations and learned a little about one of the premier guitar players out there. What's T-Mac been up to recently? He's stayed really busy musically, and has even toured quite a bit with Billy Sheehan, Mike Portnoy and Derek Sherinian, playing some serious music for the people. Check out Thursday's shred song for today, Billy Sheehan's "Shy Boy", originally written for Billy's band Talas, and then re-recorded with Van Halen maniac David Lee Roth!

Wednesday on the Shredder of the Week brings us a trip back to big hair and lots of reverb. Guitar master Tony MacAlpine plays one of the songs that he released on his 1987 album Maximum Security on PolyGram...whoa, there's a name from the past, PolyGram. They died a horrible label death...eventually being absorbed into Universal Music Group.
