Clifford Lee "Cliff" Burton (February 10, 1962 – September 27, 1986)

Burton joined Metallica in 1982 and performed on its debut studio album, Kill 'Em All. He performed on two more Metallica albums, Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets!

On September 27, 1986, Burton died when the band's tour bus over-turned in rural southern Sweden. Burton was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with Metallica on April 4, 2009.

Today we celebrate his birthday. R.I.P.

TMD has obtained extremely rare concert audio of legendary Metallica bassist, Cliff Burton, performing a bass solo at the Coliseum Ballroom in Davenport, Iowa on May 30, 1986.
