WTF? Neiman Marcus is Selling Tamales for $92

It's the time of year where many of us are eating the same thing: tamales! If you're looking to buy some tamales instead of making your own for this holiday season you may hit up your local bakery or maybe even hope to run into the tamal lady at a Walmart parking lot. However, if you're in the market for a much more luxurious tamal then hit up the Neiman Marcus website.

If you happen to have a few extra bucks, $92 (plus $18 for shipping) to be exact, then you could get yourself six dozen tamales straight from Neiman Marcus' website. $92 may sound a bit exorbitant, especially for tamales, but if you do the math- you get 72 tamales which adds up to about $1.28 apiece. The tamales come in three flavors, beef, chicken and pork. Your order can consist of just one flavor or an assortment of all three.

According to the website, Neiman Marcus ships directly from the vendor meaning they don't actually make the tamales. Am I the only one picturing a bunch of little old Hispanic ladies in a warehouse just making tamales?! But I digress. The tamales look smaller than what we may be used to here in the borderland, but according to the reviews they are good.

If tamales aren't your thing, Neiman Marcus is also selling enchiladas and flautas. Apparently those dishes were extra delicious because they are sold out. The tamales, however, are still available!

I feel like I want to taste them, but I also don't want to pay $92 and $18 in shipping. Here's hoping the lady selling tamales in the parking lot doesn't hike up her prices!
