Happy Fall, ya'll! The El Paso Chihuahuas season has been in full swing all summer - but Chico the Chihuahua is ready for Autumn. In fact... here he is holding a... Maple Leaf.

This confused some fans, so I decided to do some digging. At first I thought it was the most OBVIOUS. This is a photo of an NHL player who plays for the Toronto Maple Leafs. It's the first day of Fall! Maple Leafs! Right?

Not quite.

If you look CLOSELY - this hockey guy is also holding a photo of CHICO!

The Toronto Maple Leafs did their media day on September 23, 2022 and posted on its Instagram page some "No context Leafs content" and look whose face showed up in the arms of Alex Kerfoot.

Alex Kerfoot is a forward for the Maple Leafs. He played college hockey at Harvard. Born in Vancouver - Kerfoot was selected in the fifth round, 150th overall, by the New Jersey Devils in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft and has previously played in the NHL for the Colorado Avalanche.

After Kerfoot chose Chico as his totally random content with no context... people caught on quick, and Chico took note!

The back-and-forth continued between the Maple Leafs and Chihuahuas over the span of a couple days. Needless to say, Toronto's "No context Leafs content" has blossomed into quite a relationship. I'm guessing Chico is a huge Leafs fan now. Hopefully Carlton the Bear isn't too jealous.
