Alright, show of hands: who also belts out Olivia Rodrigo’s ‘Driver’s License’ song whenever it comes out on the radio?! SAME!

Well, one El Paso teen’s love for Olivia Rodrigo led to a beautiful piece of artwork that now has a special home, Olivia’s home!

Incoming El Paso High freshman Leah Monsivais has been an Olivia Rodrigo fan since Olivia's days as a Disney channel actress.

“She has a really big influence on me and she’s just an amazing person and she’s definitely one of my idols,” said Monsivais.

This past Spring, Leah was able to see her idol live in concert, but before she made her way to the concert she decided to put her love for art to use and create a special portrait for Olivia Rodrigo.

“I really love art and I always have and drawing is just how I express myself,” said Leah. “Olivia’s music has this feeling that makes me want to draw and I knew that when I was going to her concert I wanted to make her something.”

Leah painted a portrait of Olivia Rodrigo, took it with her to the concert and was able to give it to a security guard who said he would make sure Olivia got the artwork.

Leah wasn’t sure if Olivia would really get the portrait, but weeks later, Leah would be scrolling through social media and to her surprise, her artwork she created for Olivia would pop up in an ad on Olivia Rodrigo’s page with Olivia herself!

“I went on her instagram story and saw it in the back and I felt super excited,” said Leah.

Leah’s artwork was featured in an ad on Olivia’s Instagram page that was promoting her new Target line of products.

Seeing that Olivia did recieve her artwork made Leah proud, and she has some motivating words for others who dream of one day meeting their idols.

“You should never give up, and no dream is too big because never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined olivia rodrigo getting one of my artwork,” said Leah.
