Who Is the Best Person You Know? Many Believe It’s Themselves
Who is the best person you know? If I had to create a top five list, I would say it is: my grandpa, my mom, my sister, my best friend and my nephew. In that order. Yeah, I honestly believe that my grandpa is the best person there is, I think anyone who has had a conversation with him would agree!
Notice how I didn't put myself on that list? That wasn't the case for many Americans.
Today on the Morning Show, we got into this great discussion on a survey that revealed that 46% of Americans believe they are the best person they know. Which was completely shocking to us! 46% seems real high. All four of us on the show agreed we were not the best person we knew, we didn't even put ourselves on our top five lists- Buzz wouldn't even put himself on his top ten list!
The discussion really took off when the survey also revealed that 83% of people believe that doing drugs would make them a better person. The top drugs of choice? Mushrooms and MDMA- like, it completely skipped weed altogether!

When looking into this weird survey, I found that it was conducted by One Poll and commissioned by Behold Retreats, a wellness company that specializes in the therapeutic use of plant-based medicine to aid in personal and spiritual growth. They mainly specialize in Ayahuasca retreats, and now the 'shrooms and ecstasy make more sense.
But it still doesn't account for why such a high number of people think they themselves are the best person they know. I wouldn't even know how to critic my own self. Maybe I know too much about myself? I'm not a bad person, but I'm also not the greatest. I got to hand it to Americans, though, they're leading the world in self confidence. So, who's the best person you know?
