After way too many years, the KLAQ studios, and the rest of the building, are finally getting a makeover.

The KLAQ/KSII/KROD studios and the Townsquare Media/El Paso offices are getting some long overdue TLC. New paint, new flooring; we even have a fancy, smancy hot and cold water fountain now.

We're truly "movin' on up". Check out some of the progress ...

Of the Townsquare Media/El Paso cluster; KLAQ and KROD, now known as ESPN 600 El Paso, came first. KSII, aka Kiss FM, joined us in the late 90's. We outgrew The Q's first location and when we acquired KSII, we moved to their facility. In the early 2000's, we moved again to the current location at 4180 N. Mesa.

Over the years, we've built up a pretty sweet collection of photos, autographed artwork, event posters and oddities contributed by staff, celebrities and fans. Check out what's been hung so far ...

Sneak Peek At KLAQ's Makeover

The studios haven't really changed much, you can see some "before" pics here, but the overall look will be way different than it was before. 25 years later, we're finally sprucing up the place. After the paint was done and the new flooring installed, we redid the conference room too. It came out great.

When we first moved in, the frantic rush to get everything done led to things being hung or placed wherever they fit or, at the least, weren't in the way. Now, we're actually trying to really place things in a cool and orderly fashion.

I'll update this when we're finally, completely finished. In the meantime, my office has become "the closet". At least the wall looks cool.
