Growing up I LOVED going to record stores; I absolutely loved the feeling of seeing which rare cds I would end up finding & most of the cds I found, I still own. Two in particular I remember frequently going to was Wherehouse Music (on Sunland Park) that later became an FYE and was moved into the Bassett Mall. And we can't forget about The Headstand on Dyer (which sadly had to close its doors in April). Also we can't forget about Mother of Pearl...

But there still are record shops you can go in El Paso:

Montecillo Records:

It opened up back in 2018 & even though it is a little tucked away in the area with the Montecillo Tin Man, you can find Montecillo Records on the west side,4935 N Mesa St Suite 6, El Paso, TX 79912. It's open Monday-Saturday 11am-7pm and Sunday, 11-6pm.

Atomic Wax:

I know what you're thinking; "that's the San Carlos Buidling". And you'd be right. But there IS a record store there. Located in downtown El Paso, Atomic Wax is INSIDE the San Carlos Building, down the stairs. They're open Wednesday - Sunday, 12 noon- 6pm at 501 Texas Ave. They were actually featured on the Downtown El Paso YouTube channel.

Sound Decay Records:

All That Music:

And of course I couldn't forget about All That Music. They've had a number of locations in town including one that used to be on Lee Trevino next to Funkmeyers & the Gateway location off of Airway featured in the video above. They are still around at a new location, #3015 at the Fountains of Farah just below the Best Buy. They're open Monday-Thursday 11am-8pm, Friday-Saturday 11am-9am & Sunday 12 Noon-7pm.
