What Do You Love About El Paso?

As someone who moved to El Paso 5 years ago, I would have loved to ask this question to anyone living in El Paso. Just to get a feel of what I was in for and what to look forward to. Someone jumped on Reddit and asked this question because they will be moving to the Sun City, and they aren't sure how to feel about it yet.

I may be moving to El Paso soon and I’m feeling kind of down about it because I don’t have much of an idea about what it’s like to live there. What is there to do on day off? What do you enjoy about living there? Are there any outdoorsy things to do?

Here are just a few of the things that I enjoy living in El Paso.

• It's called the Sun City for a reason. Yes, it gets hot, but at least it's not humid. And while the rest of the country deals with clouds and rain, we are enjoying sunny skies.
• The food is some of the best you'll ever have in your LIFE!
• It's not a big city, but it's also not a small town. When things are actually opened up, we get a lot of great shows here, but it also doesn't have the hustle and bustle of a big city. You get the best of both worlds.

Food is good, people are pretty friendly for the most part, cost of living is pretty low. Depending on your weather preference you might love or hate it here, it’s sunny and pretty warm/hot most of the year. Outdoor activities are basically limited to hiking, climbing, cycling (road and mountain), off road Motorsport...all in a desert climate. Nightlife can be fun but during the current pandemic it’s basically eliminated.

 

Hiking any day with many paths to choose from, El Paso has some of the most beautiful sunsets, the cultures are amazing with some great Tex mex food. It’s one of the safest cities in the US. Another outdoor activity would be off-roading with the many dunes and hills to go on
