It didn't take long for someone to share with us an actual video of the commercial. We talked about this on the air and Joanna sent me over this video. Go to 1:30 in the following video to see the famous 'Broccoli Girl' commercial for Western Playland.

I didn't grow up in El Paso but I am now fully invested in the 'Broccoli Girl' from an old commercial for Western Playland. As I scour the Internet in search of things to write articles about, it's every couple of months I see someone asking about this commercial and if anyone has any video of it at all. So far, none has been found. Of course, that's not to say it doesn't exist. Someone, somewhere probably has a copy of it. My guess is someone has a random tape sitting at their parent's house that was used to record Saturday morning cartoons with this commercial sitting on it.

The most recent version of someone asking for this commercial comes from Reddit.

where to find the western playland lost commercial?

does anyone know were to find the old commercial that western playland used to play on the tv? the one that had a little girl saying "ill eat my broccoli". ive been looking for it for about a 2 months now and i still cant find it

As I'm writing this there are no responses to this post. I do have my fingers crossed though because I need to see this commercial. Of course, this is one of those situations where the expectations might be built too high for the actual product.

Despite the fact that no one has been able to find a copy of this commercial, it did make a list of the best local commercials in Texas. CLICK HERE to check out an article I did on a list The Twenty Most Iconic Local TV and Billboard Legends in Texas, Ranked.

To find out more about how has the price of gas changed throughout the years, Stacker ran the numbers on the cost of a gallon of gasoline for each of the last 84 years. Using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (released in April 2020), we analyzed the average price for a gallon of unleaded regular gasoline from 1976 to 2020 along with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for unleaded regular gasoline from 1937 to 1976, including the absolute and inflation-adjusted prices for each year.

Read on to explore the cost of gas over time and rediscover just how much a gallon was when you first started driving.
