West Side Bowl Challenge: Coronado T-Birds Vs. Franklin Cougars

I remember attending the games at the Sun Bowl when the school I attended (Coronado High School) played our archenemy, Franklin High School. Those annual rival games were so much fun to attend. The Westside Bowl Challenge between Coronado T-Birds and Franklin Cougars has been around for quite some time now. The Westside Bowl Challenge is like a generic Super Bowl version for the faculty, students, and parents. The Westside Bowl Challenge is the most important game for T-Birds and Cougars. It is the most vital game of them all because it's fighting for "the pride of the Westside" title. That title has meant a lot to almost every student that attended Coronado and Franklin. The Westside Bowl has been a tradition for so many years and still going strong. I even remember attending the rival games as a middle school student since my sister was attending Coronado High School during that time. Last year, the Franklin Cougars won the game at the Sun Bowl as you can see above from KTSM 9 News sports clip.

Well, starting Thursday, November 5, your purchase at Chik-fil-A along with who you mention will help determine the winner of the Westside Bowl Challenge. The school with the most purchases from Chik-fil-A will win a donation for their school. The Westside Bowl Challenge at Chik-fil-A will be held from November 5 through next Wednesday, November 11. So if you would like to see either Coronado or Franklin win don't forget to mention which school when you place your order. Since I attended Coronado High School I will be making a stop at the fast-food joint to place my order and vote. Go T-Birds!
