"Fast food" can a bit of a misnomer at this point. At least it is when I went to Whataburger when I first moved to Texas. I was not expecting it to take so damn long for the food. But, it is worth the wait. Green Chile Burger? Yes, please.

But what about the big "fast food" chains across the countries. Which ones are the fastest and which ones are the most accurate? Well, clark.com just tested them out and here is was they found.

Fastest Fast Food Chains (time in seconds)

  1. Wendy's - 169.11
  2. Dunkin' Donuts - 181.03
  3. Burger King - 201.18
  4. KFC - 203.91
  5. McDonald's - 208.16
  6. Taco Bell  - 220.11
  7. Arby's - 225.31
  8. PDQ - 225.72
  9. Pollo Tropical - 231.23
  10. Taco Cabana - 240.73
  11. Chick-Fil-A - 257.64
  12. Panera Bread - 267.90
  13. Carl's Jr - 268.89
  14. Hardee's - 273.73
  15. Starbucks - 299.80

Maybe overall speed isn't what you're looking for. You might be the kind of person that thinks that accuracy of your order is what's important. Well, here are the same restaurants listed by their accuracy percentage.

  1. Carl's Jr - 96.7
  2. Chick-Fil-A - 94.5
  3. Hardee's - 93.0
  4. McDonald's - 92.2
  5. Taco Bell - 91.7
  6. Arby's 91.3
  7. Taco Cabana - 90.7
  8. Burger King - 90.5
  9. Starbucks - 88.7
  10. KFC - 88.6
  11. Wendy's - 86.9
  12. Dunkin' Donuts - 86.9
  13. Pollo Tropical - 85.7
  14. PDQ - 84.6
  15. Panera Bread - 82.6

You'll notice that Pollo Tropical is towards the bottom on both lists. I don't think they have any West Texas locations, but I do know they were in South Florida. And I can say, I'll never go there again. I remember leaving a Florida Marlins game and stopping by Pollo Tropical because I was starving. Guess what they ran out of. CHICKEN! Yes, POLLO Tropical didn't have CHICKEN.
