Access to the Trinity Site is only allowed twice a year and one of those opportunities is a little over a month away.  Here's a relaxing way to go see it!

A motor coach tour of the place where the first nuclear device was detonated, the Trinity Site, has been arranged and you have until September 22nd to register for it. You can sign up here.

Let someone else worry about the driving while you relax on the 140-mile roundtrip from Alamogordo to the site. Along the way, you'll learn more about it from historian Pete Eidenbach. According to El Paso Herald Post online, on the way back, a special screening of "The Land of Space and Time". will be shown.

On-site, a "brown bag" lunch will be provided and you can visit the McDonald House along with the Trinity Site.  Photography is allowed at those locations but, nowhere else on the range. (Leave the "green glass" alone too...)

The tour begins in Alamogordo, about an hours drive from El Paso, call 575-437-2840 or, 1-877-333-6589 for more info. You can also click here or visit the New Mexico Space Museum Facebook page.
