When Pitt and UCLA kickoff tomorrow at noon in the 89th annual Tony The Tiger Sun Bowl, it will feature one of the best offenses in the nation against one of college football's top defenses. The Bruins rank third in the country in offense, averaging 507.8 yards per game, while the Panthers are 17th overall in yards allowed per game with just under 320. Pitt's rush defense is particularly outstanding since they give up just 95.5 yards per game. They will be tested by UCLA's Zach Charbonnet, who finished the season with 1,359 yards on the ground and 14 touchdowns.

Both head coaches met the media earlier today and Pat Narduzzi said that although his team does not have all of its weapons on defense, the Panthers are built to stop the run. The Panthers head coach also talked about returning to the Tony The Tiger Sun Bowl and his quarterback situation.

It has been 15 years since Chip Kelly has been in El Paso for the Sun Bowl. The last time he was year was 2007, his first season as Oregon's offensive coordinator. He had plenty of high praise for the hospitality that the Tony The Tiger Sun Bowl game offers and he also discussed the UCLA running game as well as his preparation for Pitt tomorrow.

For those fans who would like to do their homework before both teams kick off tomorrow, here are the links to the Pitt Game Notes, UCLA Game Notes, and Sun Bowl Media Guide. If you want to have an advantage on winning tickets to next year's game, I would strongly advise you to download the Sun Bowl Media Guide and keep it handy beginning next September when the Tony The Tiger Sun Bowl Watch trivia contest starts back up.

UCLA is currently an eight-point favorite over Pitt, which jumped from an opening line of four and a half points as more Pitt players started entering the portal. The total of 54 points means that Las Vegas is not projecting a wild, high scoring affair. The game will be nationally televised on CBS and 600 ESPN El Paso will broadcast the Tony The Tiger Sun Bowl beginning at noon. Brian Roth, Justin Fuente, and KVIA's Rachel Phillips will call the action. This game is the second consecutive Sun Bowl radio broadcast for Phillips, who was also on the sidelines last season as Central Michigan upset Washington State. See everyone tomorrow.
