The Papa is coming to Juarez and they could use a little help keeping him safe.

Pope Francis is scheduled to visit Juarez February 17th and volunteers are needed to help protect him. Officials want a 25 mile long "human chain" along the pontiff's route for which, 60,000 people have already volunteered. That's not enough though.

They're about 20,000 short so, they're still looking for peeps. Volunteers can sign up in person at the Corpus Christi Parish located in Juarez at 1592 Puerto de Santa Clara St, (in the Héroes de México neighborhood) or you can call 011-52-656-647-1301. Volunteers must register online at papafransiscoenmexico.org as well.

The Pope also plans to celebrate mass along the Border at, or near, the Chamizal Memorial. Several closures will take place in El Paso that day including area schools, EPCC, a section of the Border Highway and UTEP.
