It wasn't actually life threatening or anything, but it deeply affected so many across the country; but how much were Texans affected? Well, I know that in El Paso, the twelve TiKTok-less hours were dark times.

It may seem like an obsession- okay, maybe it is. But, just how obsessed is the country; and better yet, how obsessed is Texas with TikTok?

Thanks to influencer marketing agency Socially Powerful, we have that answer! Socially Powerful analyzed 30 of the most popular TikTok-related keywords, including “TikTok”, “TikTok app”, “TikTok store” and “download TikTok”, in each state relative to its population. This allowed them to calculate which states had the most TikTok-related searches per 100,000 people, discovering America’s top ten most TikTok-obsessed states.

Socially Powerful found that Texas ranked as the ninth most TikTok-obsessed state. Texas has 3238 TikTok-related searches per 100,000 people. In comparison, Montana, the least TikTok-obsessed state in America, has just 1495 TikTok related searches per 100,000 people.

The study also found that Nevada is officially the most TikTok-obsessed state in America, with 3902 TikTok-related searches per 100,000 people - more than any other state in the U.S., and more than double that of Montana!

What I found most interesting is that California ranked sixth with 3491 TikTok-related searches per 100,000 people respectively; Cali ranked lower on the list despite being one of the states where most content creators live.

Luckily, thanks to one of President Trump’s first executive orders, he delayed the ban for 75 days.
