Phones across Texas all get emergency alerts when something critical happens. Whether it be a severe weather alert, an emergency alert or a public safety alert, we all get those alerts, no matter what time of the day!

These alerts are typically short and accompanied by a loud, distinct sound to grab attention. Remember that one time we received an emergency from the President that we all couldn't ignore?

However, one day, some Texans received a "Clear alert", to which all of us collectively looked at our phones and asked "what the hell does that mean?!"

If you also aren't aware what a "clear event" means, don't worry, I did a bit of research and have found that, in Texas, there are six different emergency alerts you may receive on your phone.
