Major League Baseball announced yesterday that they would delay the start of the 2021 Triple-A season until early May, and the Chihuahuas will begin on May 6th.
The Chihuahuas just won the Bob Freitas Award, which is given to minor league ballclubs that show "community involvement, long-term business success, and consistent operational excellence."
The El Paso Chihuahuas had planned a "915 Night" before COVID-19 took away their baseball season, but the idea is so good that it should become a new tradition.
Things have to be a little strange in the offices of MSSG these days. Not uneasy –– both the Chihuahuas and Locomotive FC offices support each other –– just strange.
