Borderland artists, here's a chance for you to show off your work!

The city of Socorro, just east of El Paso, is looking for artists who want to showcase their work at the Rio Vista Community Center in May.

The idea came as a pairing to address the goals of the City in creating new family friendly innovative community programming and the City’s Historical Landmark Commission to showcase the Rio Vista Community Center during National Historic Preservation Month.

According to the Herald-Post article, artists ... professional and amateur ... need only stop by the Rio Vista Community Center at 901 Rio Vista and fill out a form. They're open from 8a-8p Monday through Thursday and 8-4 on Fridays. They're looking for all sorts of exhibits including photography, sculpture, mixed media, paintings and more.

All entries are welcome but, must be "family friendly". Registration deadline is April 28th, for more info call (915) 860-8615.
