The loveable cartoon duo will soon return via Comedy Central.

It was recently announced that Beavis And Burtthead would be returning to tv. As thrilled as I was to hear that, this has made me even happier. The 90's duo will now be joined by Ren and Stimpy who will also be "reimagined" in upcoming, new episodes.

An official announcement from Comedy Central says:

“We are excited to reinvent this iconic franchise with a new creative team and our partners at the Nickelodeon Animation Studio,” said Chris McCarthy, President of ViacomCBS Entertainment & Youth Group.  “Ren & Stimpy joins our rapidly expanding roster of adult animation including South ParkBeavis and Butt-Head and Clone High as we continue to reimagine our treasure chest of beloved IP for new generations.”

Ren and Stimpy originally aired almost 30 years ago and really pushed the envelope when it came to what a kids' cartoon could get away with. The dog and cat team have always been ranked very highly among the most memorable cartoon characters and were known for many things, most especially violence and dark humor. Two of the many things that showed the cartoon was never really meant for kids to begin with.

I can't wait to see what they come up with for these two, what their take on life in 2020 will be like and what new insults Ren will come up with for Stimpy. I'm sure there are plenty of other "eeeee-dee-ots" out there who are just as anxious to see these two again as I am.
