Remember when Tumblr decided to ban any adult content back in December? Yeah, I'm sure that worked out really well for them. According to The Wall Street Journal, Verizon Communications (who bought Tumblr from Yahoo back in 2015) is preparing to sell the site. The process has just started and it's not clear what price Verizon will get for the site, but good news, there's already a prospective buyer: PornHub.

PornHub vice president Corey Price confirmed to Buzzfeed News that they are "extremely interested" in buying the site with one goal in mind: restoring Tumblr's adult content. For those of you unaware, Tumblr had NO restrictions on adult content  which is defined as media that depicts "real-life human genitals or female-presenting nipples." So, basically you'd open up your Tumblr and boom! NSFW content.

When the ban took place, it was received with mixed reactions. User visits dropped from 521 million in December to 370 million by January. Until it's confirmed that PornHub will indeed buy Tumblr, PornHub welcomes all users to their site.
