A lot of different type people have left us this year. 

There have been quite the amount of deaths in 2013; celebrities, people who have made a difference and many more. Here are a few of those that have gone and left us this year.

Just this weekend it was announced that Peter O'Toole passed away on Saturday, December 14th. He was better known for his performance on Lawrence of Arabia. He was nominated for 8 Academy Awards, all for best actor in a leading role. Though, he never won an Academy Award, he was given an Honorary Award in 2003.

Nelson Mandela, the former President of South Africa and Nobel Peace Prize laureate passed away on December 5th. He was imprisoned for 27 years between 1964-1982 for attempting to overthrow the African Government.

Paul Walker passed away in a tragic automobile accident on November 30th. He is best known for his Fast and the Furious movie series role. He was also in the movie 'She's All That' with Freddie Prinze Jr and Rachael Leigh Cook.

Known best for her role as Edna Krabappel on The Simpsons, Marcia Wallace passed away on October 25th. Apart from the Simpsons, she also appeared in a lot of popular shows like The Bob Newhart Show, Full House, Charles In Charge and plenty more.

Karen Black who obtained an Oscar nomination for playing Jack Nicholson's girlfriend on Five Easy Pieces died on August 8th. She also won a Golden Globe for her magnificent performance on The Great Gatsby. (She also played Mother Firefly in Rob Zombie's House of 1000 Corpses. She was replaced on The Devil's Rejects by Leslie Easterbrook - the blonde bombshell of Police Academy).

'Dear Abby' advice column writer Abigail Van Buren passed away on January 16th. Her twin sister, Eddie Lederer who was also an advice writer, passed away in 2002.

We know him as Phillip Drummond of Diff'rent Strokes, Conrad Bain passed away on January 14th. Bain had an identical twin brother who appeared with him on Maude and SCTV.

2013 has been a very memorable year. We have lost a lot of famous celebrities, people who have tried and failed/succeeded in making a difference for us all, soldiers and even family members and friends.

May the all Rest in Peace and we never forget them.
