Payless Files For Bankruptcy, 4 El Paso Stores Closing

Another major chain is filing for bankruptcy and closing El Paso area stores.

First, Kmart and Sears shut down, closing several El Paso locations. Then, Radioshack called it quits and closed stores in both El Paso and Las Cruces. Now, Payless Shoesource is filing for bankruptcy and closing 4 El Paso locations.

According to the El Paso Times, Payless will continue operating 13 locations in El Paso but, these stores will close:

Sunland Park Mall on the West Side; a Payless Kids store in Cielo Vista Mall, where it will continue to operate another, regular shoe store; 1900 N. Lee Trevino Dr. and Montwood Drive on the East Side; and 119 S. Stanton St. and Overland in Downtown. - El Paso Times
