If you like visiting national parks, but hate snakes, pay attention. The 7 most snake infested state parks in the USA have been named and Texas has one on the list.
World Atlas ranked the most snake infested state parks in the USA. I don't know exactly how they did this, it's not like snakes fill out birth certificates or take part in census surveys but, somehow, they did it and these 7 state parks have the most.
Snakes are not for everybody. Personally, I don't really mind them too much. I've had a couple and have hunted and handled a few venomous ones. I even held a Gila Monster, (1 of only 2 venomous lizards), once. Guess what their deadly venom is good for?
Snakes don't bother me as long as I know where they are. Something not always easy to determine in the wild and Palo Duro Canyon State Park is loaded with them. Venomous and non venomous alike, the park has tons but not as many as these others:

Which Texas Park Is Snake Heavy?
Palo Duro Canyon State Park juuuuuuust made the list, coming in at #7. It's home to all kinds of snake species including 2 venomous ones; rattlesnakes and copperheads. In fact Palo Duro is one of the most rattlesnake infested areas in Texas, a state loaded with venomous snakes.
